Street Art with 'Deggy' - Youth acivities in Gamesley today - Tuesday 12th August.

Glossop SNT - Youth Engagement/Activities

On Tuesday, August 12th, PCSO Buller of the Glossop Youth Engagement Team visited the Community Centre located on Melandra Castle Road in Gamesley.

During this visit, PCSO Buller engaged with the young people participating in the 'Street Art with Deggy' session, fostering a positive relationship by meeting them in a relaxed and informal setting.

This initiative aims to enhance the community's perception of the police, encouraging open dialogue between officers and youth.

The complimentary street art sessions, tailored for individuals aged 11 to 16 years, ran from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM today.

Participants were actively involved in learning techniques to creatively transform spaces through striking and unique graffiti and street art.

As evidenced in the attached photograph, the enthusiasm and creativity of the young artists were looking great, with impressive results emerging from their collaborative efforts.

Notably, there was also an artistic representation of frog art.

Additional sessions are scheduled for August 13th, 18th, 19th, and 20th, at the same venue and time.

We encourage all eligible individuals to participate and join in the creative fun, so come along if you can, or want to become involved..
